Happy Feet Paediatric Centre

Dr Janani Sundaram

About Me

I am a General Paediatrician with a special interest in Developmental and Behavioural Paediatrics. With over 10 years of experience in the Australian healthcare system and 3 years of paediatric training in India, I am dedicated to providing comprehensive, evidence-based care to children from birth through adolescence.

Professional Background

I obtained my medical degree and Diplomate of National Board (DNB) in Paediatrics from India before relocating to Australia, where I pursued Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in Paediatrics and Child Health.

My Australian experience spans leading institutions including Westmead Hospital, Royal Hospital for Women, Blacktown Hospital, Wagga Wagga Base Hospital and Fairfield Hospital. Working across tertiary, metropolitan and rural settings, including culturally diverse communities in Western and South Western Sydney, has equipped me with the skills to manage both routine and complex paediatric presentations.

Areas of Special Interest

I am passionate about helping children with complex developmental and behavioural conditions, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), learning difficulties, speech and communication delays, and behavioural challenges. I am also experienced in supporting premature infants and their families after NICU discharge, as well as managing a broad range of general paediatric conditions.

I believe in working collaboratively with families and multidisciplinary teams – including psychologists, speech pathologists and occupational therapists – to deliver holistic, family-centred care and achieve the best possible outcomes for every child.
